Svindersvik Bridge Svindersviksbron is an arch bridge over Svindersviken in Nacka municipality in Sweden. The bridge is, together with the Ryssberg tunnel, part of the Kvarnholm connection. The entire connection was completed in June 2016. The bridge is an arch bridge consisting of a combination of steel and concrete where the carriageway hangs from steel braces which in turn are supported by two steel arches tilted towards each other. The Svindersvik Bridge runs in one span and in a slight curve over Svindersviken and is intended for vehicle traffic as well as bicycle traffic and pedestrians. The span is 140 meters, the sail-free height is 18 meters and the width of the sail channel at least 25 meters. The bridge is connected to Kvarnholmen through a new connected road to Tre kronors väg. South of the bridge, the roughly 300 meter long Ryssberg tunnel connects. There is also a new walking path that connects with a path to Vikdalsvägen and one to Nacka Strand on the southern side. The project is financed through Kvarnholmen's new production and with tax funds. The project cost has been estimated at approximately SEK 300 million. The contractor was the German design and construction company Bilfinger SE. The bridge was assembled on the Kvarnholm side and in April 2015 it was pushed across Svindersviken. The bridge was inaugurated at the same time as the Kvarnholm connection on 11 June 2016 and opened to traffic on 21 June 2016.The bridge's color is chosen by architect Erik Andersson, who also designed the southern orthogonal tunnel mouth where the bridge lands and the northern tunnel mouth with its concrete vault. Both mouths are lined with gabion walls.
